Title: ‘NOS PLAKA NACIONAL’ which means ‘Our National Monetary’. The Aruban monetary is considered one of the 9th most beautiful banknotes in the world.
In 2019, the Centrale Bank van Aruba unveiled a new series of banknotes in denominations of 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 florin, with the latter serving as a new denomination. The theme presented for this series is “Life in Aruba”, as it contains elements of Aruban flora, fauna, cultural heritage, monuments and landmarks. (-Google-)
A self-designed fabric for this occasion adorned with gold lace and combined with a bright orange shimmering fabric. The orange represents the name of our capital which is Oranjestad.
Oranje in Dutch means orange. The capital got its name due to the roofs of the houses which all of them where in the color orange.
The hat has handmade fauna of the banknotes and of course they are combined with the orange feathers. Making this design also very unique.
